Man Down!

Firstly: the good news.

The Von Hagens have invited me to join the second leg of their holiday plans.

What does this mean??

I will be meeting up with them in ZAMBIA on December 29th!!!

We'll be hitting up Victoria Falls, zip lines, and a 'walk with the lions' tour. Needless to say, I AM PUMPED.

Best of all, I will ring in 2011 with some of my favorite people in the world. Life is good. :)

Now for the bad news: folks, we have the first injury of the Canadaland Reunion Trip 2010.

Sarah slipped on the deck ramp and sliced and diced the bottoms of her pretty little feet on a sharp cluster of barnacles. Oww!

The neighbors were brought in and they came bearing a bottle of Merthiolate, tweezers, and a towel.

When Sarah asked what the towel was for, 15 year old Jess smiled and calmly replied, "it's for you to bite down on".

Merthiolate is spray that disinfects open wounds by burning the bacteria right off. It stains skin bright pink and is used commonly used post-op for surgery.

Sarah said it was the worst pain she's ever had to endure -- even more than her tattoos.

But I am happy to report that she is well on her way to recovery after a quick trip to the hospital and lots of care and love later :)

She's a tough one, that Sarah.
