From the bottom of my heart - thank you to everyone who sent in their Fall-time photos.
I did indeed live Fall vicariously through your lens and what a beautiful trip is has been.
As each one rolled into my mailbox, I felt more and more love from back home :)
Even though I am thouroughly enjoying my time here, I would be lying if I said that I don't have moments where I feel alone and terribly homesick. Being so blessed with the awesome family and friends that I have, I guess I shouldn't be surprised to have to navigate around the large hole that their absence has created.
It is why this blog means so much to me.
The fact that this webpage keeps my friends, family and followers at my fingertips is such a gift.
I sincerely hope you enjoy these Fall pictures as much as I was thirlled to recieve them. Take a moment to soak up the beauty of the season -- the year's first snowfall is undoubedtly just around the corner, afterall!

How was your Halloween? Did your house get many kids? What did you dress up as?

I was Black mail. I wore all black and threw on a postage stamp. It was great!
By the way, your last sentence where you wrote," the year's first snowfall is undoubedtly just around the corner, afterall!" i think it would have been hilarious to say "the year's first snowfall is undoubedtly just around the corner, afterfall" it may have sounded funnier in my head, but i already wrote all this out so i'll post it anyways!
Haha! Kayla, I love you. And as an English nerd, I must say that I have special appreciation for both the cleverness of your costume as well as your sentence suggestion :)
I love thos pictures, and I love you! So happy you can get back to your blog :)
Hey! Sorry my fall pics did not make it to you. I currently have a lack of internet access so emailing pictures has become slightly difficult. I did take some pictures last Saturday of our first snow fall and will try to get those to you this week.
For Halloween, our Gr 7 team dressed up as the three blind mice. It was a lot of fun and the kids seemed to enjoy it! I had about 40 trick or treaters at my house. I'm not sure if you mentioned it or not, is Halloween celebrated in S. Africa?
For new gossip... Breanne got engaged about a month ago. We went dress shopping on Saturday and managed to find dresses that all 5 bridesmaids liked for under $200.
Although it's somewhat far away, what are your plans for Xmas in S. A.?
Well, using my expected and usual form of mail, snail-mail, my pictures and real fall leaves, I'm told, will most likely not arrive safely in SA due to the post-office thieves. I've really enjoyed the fall pictures everyone has posted. Love and miss you Marie xoxo (heart) Mom
